1. The Informational Website (subumbra.dev)
The website at subumbra.dev is provided solely for informational, educational, and documentation purposes. Your access to and use of the informational content is subject to these terms. The Subumbra software, templates, scripts, and Worker deployment code are licensed under the **Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL 2.0)**. Any usage, redistribution, modification, or inclusion of the source code is governed strictly by the terms and conditions outlined in the repository's LICENSE file.

3. Self-Hosted Responsibility & Security
Subumbra is a split-trust, decentralized API credential broker. By deploying Subumbra, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following operational boundaries:
- Infrastructure Control: You are entirely responsible for the security, hosting, and configuration of your self-hosted server (VPS) and your Cloudflare Workers tenant.
- Credential Safeguards: You are solely responsible for ensuring the secure custody of your encryption keys (specifically the RSA private/public keys and standard proxy master keys). The loss, corruption, or leak of these keys due to weak server permissions or public version control exposure remains your exclusive liability.
- Upstream Model Costs: You are solely responsible for all API usage costs, rate policies, or provider account suspensions incurred through the upstream providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) configured inside your self-hosted instance.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the author of Subumbra, the contributors, or any affiliated entities be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute services; loss of use, data, or profits; business interruption; or unauthorized credential exposure) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the use of this website or software, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
5. Non-Affiliation
This project is an independent open-source utility and is not affiliated, endorsed, sponsored, or certified by Cloudflare, Inc., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third-party API provider. All product names, logos, and brands are the property of their respective trademark holders.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising from your use of the informational website at subumbra.dev, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the website operator resides, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
